President Droupadi Murmu Marks Successful First Year in Office, PM Modi Congratulates

Indian President Droupadi Murmu’s impactful first year in office is commended by PM Modi.

DESK – Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to the President of India, Smt Draupadi Murmu, on completing her first year in office.

The Prime Minister shared a tweet from the President of India’s Twitter handle to express his congratulatory message.

In his tweet, the Prime Minister stated: “Congratulations to Rashtrapati Ji on her first year in office! Her tireless dedication to public service and relentless pursuit of progress are extremely motivating. Her various accomplishments reflect the tangible impact of her leadership.”

The President’s one year tenure has been full of activities, public engagement and achievements.

The President of Egypt was hosted for the Republic Day celebrations in 2023, alongside the King of Cambodia on his inaugural state visit to India.

An Indian president’s first state visit to Serbia was executed under her stewardship.

She was bestowed with the “Grand Order of the Chain of the Yellow Star”, the supreme honor in Suriname.

The platform “herSTART”, catering to women entrepreneurs, was launched by her at Gujarat University.

Furthermore, she initiated numerous technological and academic ventures like the Integrated Cryogenic Engine Manufacturing Facility of HAL in Bengaluru, Param-Kamrupa supercomputer facility at IIT Guwahati, and others.

The President took part in 18 convocations across the country, including at prominent institutions like Himachal Pradesh University, IGNOU, JNU, IIIT Dharwad, NIT Kurukshetra, Mizoram University, Visva Bharati, and Punjab Engineering College.

She was also a part of the University of Delhi’s Convocation ceremony during the centennial celebrations.

Being an active part of the youth’s progress, she inaugurated the 18th Bharat Scouts and Guides National Jamboree at Pali, Rajasthan.
