JAMSHEDPUR – On November 24, 2024, the Christian community of Jamshedpur came together to celebrate the Feast of Christ the King with great enthusiasm and grandeur.
The event took place at the Loyola School Grounds in Bistupur, drawing a congregation of approximately 5,000 believers.
The celebration was led by the Most Reverend Bishop Telesphore Bilung of the Jamshedpur Diocese.
In his heartfelt message, Bishop Bilung highlighted the significance of Christ the King, focusing on Jesus Christ’s eternal love and sacrifice.
He stated, "Jesus Christ is the visible image of the invisible God and the King of all creation. Through His sacrifice, He has redeemed humanity and united us with God. His kingdom is one of love, peace, and justice."
The bishop also reflected on the life and teachings of Jesus, reminding the faithful of His acts of healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, forgiving sinners, and exemplifying mercy and compassion.
The event underscored the importance of sacrifice and love for humanity.
Priests from various parishes, religious sisters, and devotees participated in the ceremony.
