Uncertainty Over 2023-26 Enrollment Looms at Jamshedpur Cooperative Law College
Enrollment for the 2023-26 term at Jamshedpur Cooperative Law College is on hold as the institution awaits recognition from the Bar Council of India.
JAMSHEDPUR – While the Bar Council of India (BCI) recognized the college last year, its term has since expired and renewal is awaited.
The college administration had requested for an extension back in December but to date, no response has been received.
In light of this, the admissions process for the upcoming term has been put on hold, according to Dr. Jitendra Kumar, principal of Cooperative Law College.
Dr. Kumar has shared that they expect a favorable response by August and are optimistic about receiving recognition for the new session.
Concurrently, there’s a hiccup in the ongoing admission process for the course that should have ended two semesters ago.
Of the 120 available slots for this course, only 70 applications have been received, leaving 50 seats unfilled.
To fill these, a third merit list for enrollment is being planned.
With another 120 LLB seats available for the 2023-26 term, the management of Kolhan University assures that the admissions process for these will commence as soon as the BCI’s accreditation is received.
