Devi Puja Marks the Auspicious Aadi Month at Madrasi Sammelani

Celebration of the fortunate Aadi month with a traditional Devi Puja at Madrasi Sammelani brings together community members in a spiritual event.

JAMSHEDPUR – Madrasi Sammelani, the hub of the South Indian community, held a Devi Puja today to mark the auspicious Aadi month, a significant time of the year for the Tamil community.

The rituals took place within the premises of the Sammelani and were predominantly performed by the female members of the community.

As part of the customs, 28 women partook in the Devi Puja.

They performed a ritual to the customary light, all while reciting the holy Sri Lalita Sahasranama.

The rituals proceeded under the guidance of Sri Raman, accompanied by S Ramachandran, a priest, and M V Siva, the president of the Sammelani.

Upon the conclusion of the maha arati, prasad was distributed to the devout by members of the governing committee, enhancing the communal spirit.
