Protest in Ramgarh Over Pakistani Woman’s Migration to India, Memorandum Submitted to SDO
Women march to the SDO office in Ramgarh, protesting Pakistani woman Seema Haider’s migration to India and demanding her departure.
RAMGARH – The streets of Ramgarh district reverberated with slogans of "Seema Haider go back" today, as women staged a protest against the Pakistani woman’s move to India. As part of the Mahila Janadhikar Manch, the angry women marched to the subdivision office, expressing their disapproval of Seema Haider’s recent migration.
Seema Haider, of Pakistani origin, had moved to India with her four children after marrying Sachin, an Indian man. This news sparked outrage among the women of Ramgarh when they learned about it through social media.
The women, led by Madhu Gupta, the head of the Mahila Janadhikar Manch, submitted a memorandum to Ramgarh’s SDO, Javed Hussain. Gupta questioned the security of India, asking how Seema Haider was allowed to move to India with her children, and called for the government to ensure her return to Pakistan, citing security concerns.
On the other hand, Javed Hussain, the Sub-Divisional Officer of the district, stated that they had received the memorandum concerning Seema Haider. However, he added that taking any action would be challenging without any concrete fact or evidence.
