Tata Motors Announces Block Closure at Jamshedpur Facility on July 17

Two-day closure at Tata Motors’ Jamshedpur unit will see employees report back on July 18, with half pay during the shutdown period.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Tata Motors management in Jamshedpur has issued a notice informing employees about a block shutdown on July 17, turning the weekend into a two-day holiday for the workforce.

The company’s announcement came on Saturday, with the schedule indicating that July 16, a Sunday, would be a regular day off, followed by the block closure on July 17.

As a result, employees are set to resume work on July 18.

During this temporary shutdown, workers will receive half of their usual pay.

Moreover, any employees required to report for duty on the second day of the break will be given a compensatory leave.

The departments that need personnel during this period will be individually contacted by Tata Motors, who will notify each employee accordingly.
