Members of Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh led a protest at Kadma police station over vandalism with religious hoardings during Kanwar Yatra.
JAMSHEDPUR – Members of the Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh protested at Kadma police station, voicing their outrage over the desecration of religious hoardings during the Kanwar Yatra.
The incident occurred in Kadma, where hoardings displaying images of the deity Shiva were damaged by unidentified individuals.
Vikas Singh, a founding member of Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh, said the hoardings were installed in Kadma Bazaar and Ramnagar Chowk to facilitate the devotees participating in the Yatra.
These hoardings, according to Singh, served to keep devotees informed about the Kanwar Yatra’s proceedings.
The fact that hoardings in Sonari, Dhatkidih, Sakchi, and Maango remained untouched while those in Kadma were vandalized has sparked additional anger among the local Shiva devotees.
Singh condemned the act, stating that creating obstacles in religious programs shows low mentality.
A formal complaint was lodged at Kadma police station following the demonstration.
The police have pledged to take appropriate action against the perpetrators.
