The week-long pilgrimage will feature cultural programs and accommodation arrangements for participants.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh unveiled plans for its annual free Kanwar Yatra, releasing a registration poster at Rankani Temple in Kadma amidst fervent chants of "Bol Bam" from gathered devotees.

Vikas Singh, founder member of the Sangh, announced that 1100 Kanwariyas will embark on the pilgrimage from Jamshedpur to Sultanganj on July 28th.

"We’ve arranged various modes of transport including buses, cars, and trains for the pilgrims’ comfort," Singh stated during the poster release event.

The journey will commence with devotees collecting water from Uttar Vahini Ganga in Sultanganj before proceeding on foot to Baba Nagari.

Registration for the Yatra opens on July 1st, with contact information to be displayed at prominent locations across the city.

"Comfortable accommodations have been arranged in Dharamshalas from Sultanganj to Deoghar and Baba Basukinath Dham," Singh assured, detailing the week-long itinerary.

A cultural highlight of the pilgrimage will be performances by artists from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, presenting the saga of Baba Baidyanath at Baba Bhootnath Dharamshala.

Local participation is expected to be high, with devotees from Sonari, Kadma, Bistupur, Sakchi, and Mango areas showing keen interest.

Community leaders including Rajesh Singh, Chittaranjan Verma, and Arvind Mahato attended the poster release, expressing support for the spiritual journey.

The Sangh’s initiative aims to facilitate a meaningful pilgrimage experience for devotees during the auspicious month of Sawan.
