Sushil Kumar Was Working at Local Liquor Shop for a Month

JAMSHEDPUR – A 24-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances in the Bhatia Basti area under Kadma police station on Thursday. Police reached the spot after being informed of the incident and began investigating the matter.
The deceased was identified as Sushil Kumar, a resident of Daudnagar in Bihar’s Aurangabad district. He had been working at a liquor shop in the locality for nearly a month.
Anuj Kumar, manager of the shop, said Sushil had been employed there for about a month. However, the exact circumstances leading to his death remain unclear at this stage.
Kadma police reached the spot as soon as they received information about the incident. ASI Ramdev of the police station said officers arrived after being alerted.
Police took the body into custody and started examining all aspects of the case. Meanwhile, officers are yet to determine the reason behind the death.
Investigators are questioning the deceased’s acquaintances and people in the neighbourhood to establish the circumstances. The Kadma police station area has reported similar cases in the past, including one where a youth’s body was found in Rajnagar under unclear circumstances. In another earlier case, a body was found in the Loco Colony area of the city.
Besides Kadma, similar incidents involving migrant workers have also been reported from other parts of Kadma in recent years, including one from Bhatia Basti itself. Police in the district have investigated several such cases involving persons employed away from their native places.
