Tata Steel Introduces Bridge Course for Employee Promotions

Bridge Course program by Tata Steel offers employees the opportunity to enhance their skills and vie for higher positions in the company.

JAMSHEDPUR -In an effort to foster professional growth among its employees, Tata Steel has introduced a Bridge Course program aimed at providing opportunities for promotion.

The rewards of the Course program become apparent as soon as participants achieve a grade of 60% or higher in both Sections A and B and furnish proof of graduation.

Additionally, those who score at least 60% on the Sections A and B test of the Bridge Course are granted eligibility for all vacant positions in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, and Metallurgy Engineering.

Various departments including metalworking, mechanical, and electrical engineering have already enrolled in this innovative program. The program is open to employees from different divisions and locations of Tata Steel, such as the Raw Material Division, Jamshedpur, Growth Shop, Tube, Kalinganagar, Meramandali, Sahibabad, Khapoli, and Hooghly.

The Course sessions are scheduled from 6:15 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, supplemented with a practical session. Moreover, for those who prefer remote learning, an online education option is also available.

Employees who have pursued a diploma or degree but have not yet acquired recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or the University Grants Commission (UGC) can apply for the course until July 1, 2023.

The program also welcomes employees who hold a diploma or degree from an institution not approved by Tata Steel, AICTE, or UGC. The application window for such employees remains open until July 16.
