JAMSHEDPUR – Recent developments have shed light on the tragic death of Vijay Nirala, a former Tata Steel officer. According to local residents and workers in the area, Nirala had been frequently spotted near the Jugsalai railway tracks for the past month, where he committed suicide on Saturday morning.
Repeated Visits to the Tragedy Spot
Locals reveal that Nirala would often park his car on the roadside and stay near the railway tracks for a while.
He was constantly trying to find the right time to take the plunge by coming on the railway track but due to some reasons he always returned back after some time,” a local reported. The unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday morning, marking an end to his regular visits.
Police Investigation Underway
Kunal Kumar, Officer-in-charge at Jugsalai Police station, stated that investigations into the matter have been initiated. “One person has died after coming under the goods train on the railway track near Tata Pigment under Jugsalai police station. We have taken possession of the dead body and started our investigation,” said Kumar.

Eyewitnesses near Tata Pigments locality narrated the tragic incident of the 53-year-old parking his car on the roadside and walking towards the oncoming goods train on the railway track. The police were promptly informed and family members were notified.
