Jamshedpur: Police Arrest Couple With Brown Sugar in Sitaramdera

The Jamshedpur police acted on confidential information and arrested a husband and wife, possessing 23 bags of brown sugar, near Home Pipe Indra Nagar in the Sitaramdera area.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur’s Sitaramdera police station arrested a couple carrying 23 bags of brown sugar near Home Pipe Indra Nagar, acting on a secret tip-off. The arrested couple were interrogated and have since been sent to jail.

The Sitaramdera police received anonymous information that a person was trafficking brown sugar near Indra Nagar.

Based on this information, they detained and searched a man and his wife. The police found 13 bags of brown sugar in possession of the wife.

Sitaramdera police station’s in-charge confirmed that the man, identified as Badshah Bhuiyan, has a criminal history with the MGM police station and has previously been incarcerated for robbery.

He has reportedly been involved in the drug trade in the area for some time.

The ongoing investigation is now focusing on identifying the source of the brown sugar.
