Noted Litterateur Ashok Avichal Appointed Rotary Club Midtown President

Dr. Ashok Kumar Jha, principal of LBSM College, takes over as President of the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Midtown, promising impactful initiatives.

JAMSHEDPUR – Renowned litterateur and Principal of LBSM College, Dr. Ashok Kumar Jha, has been appointed as the President of the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Midtown.

His tenure will run from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

Dr. Jha has previously served on the General Council and Executive Council of the Sahitya Akademi, Ministry of Sanskrit, Government of India.

He has also been the President of the Jharkhand Maithili Sahitya Manch and Jharkhand Maithili Bhojpuri Sahitya Sangam.

Having written over two dozen books in Maithili, Hindi, and Santhali, Dr. Jha is associated with many social organizations.

Jyoti Kumar Singh, director of Magadh Samrat Hospital, has been appointed as the club’s General Secretary.

In his address, Dr. Jha stated that he would strive to fulfill the responsibilities in line with the Rotary’s objectives.

The club’s resolution includes undertaking significant efforts towards medical health, tree plantation, women empowerment, free surgeries, and hand and foot transplants for the needy.

A formal installation program is slated for July 22, which will also mark the club’s resolution.
