14-Year-Old Student’s Sudden Death Sparks Controversy at Adivasi Plus Two High School
Ritika Trivedi, a young student from Adivasi Plus Two High School, passed away unexpectedly, leading to a dispute between the school and the grieving family.
JAMSHEDPUR – Adivasi Plus Two High School under Sitaramdera police station is currently under scrutiny following the sudden and unfortunate demise of one of their students, Ritika Trivedi, aged 14.
Ritika, a recent transfer student from DAV Patel Nagar, suffered from a heart condition since her childhood.
Her father, Arun Trivedi, an auto-rickshaw driver by profession, stated that Ritika was admitted to the government-run Adivasi Plus Two High School just a month ago due to the family’s financial constraints.
According to Principal Chhotan Lohra, the school had recently changed its timings, running from 9 am to 3 pm.
Ritika was in her classroom during the Tiffin break when she suddenly collapsed.
Despite attempts to contact her family, they received no response, which led to the school’s decision to transport Ritika to the hospital.
However, the hospital could not save Ritika, and she passed away during treatment, triggering a dispute between her relatives and the school’s management.
The grieving relatives blamed the school for not taking Ritika to TMH and instead, choosing MGM Hospital, where she ultimately succumbed.
Ritika’s death has left her family, especially her younger sibling, in a state of shock and the family has raised questions on the immediate measures taken by the school following her collapse.
