Bike Theft Ring Busted in Jamshedpur Mango Azad Nagar, Nine Including Minors Arrested
Azad Nagar police have arrested nine members of a bike theft gang, including four minors, leading to the recovery of six stolen bikes.
JAMSHEDPUR – Azad Nagar police made a significant breakthrough on Monday, busting a notorious bike theft gang.
Six stolen bikes were recovered and nine accused, including four minors, were arrested in the operation.
Among the apprehended are individuals identified as M Kumar Daigutu, S Yadav, Mohd A alias Chhotu Jawaharnagar, F Alam alias Matha, and P Sahu.
Station in-charge Rakesh Kumar revealed that the police acted on information about suspicious youths riding stolen bikes around Chepa Pul.
During the subsequent investigation, three individuals were apprehended with stolen bikes.
Under interrogation, these individuals disclosed the identities of their accomplices, some of whom were buyers of the stolen bikes.
The accused reported that they sold the stolen bikes to P Sahu, S Yadav, and M Kumar for prices ranging from two and a half thousand to six thousand rupees.
Minors were reportedly used to execute the bike thefts.
The adults among the arrested were sent to jail after questioning, but further interrogation on remand is anticipated to expose other crimes.
In a related incident, Bagbeda police arrested A Ansari, a resident of Mayurbhanj, Odisha, for stealing a motorcycle belonging to Kitadih resident Rajesh Kumar Gupta.
Following interrogation, Ansari was sent to jail, and the stolen bike was recovered.
