Coca-Cola Chief Discusses Challenges Faced by Beverage Companies

Coca-Cola’s Gaurav Sharma discusses strategies to overcome industry challenges during XLRI seminar.

JAMSHEDPUR – A seminar was hosted by XLRI PGDM (GM), where Gaurav Sharma, Chief People Officer of Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (HCCB), was the keynote speaker.

He addressed the challenges faced by beverage companies, including Coca-Cola, in today’s era.

Sharma emphasized the importance of researching consumer behavior for any manager,

highlighting the need for regular planning and implementation based on consumer response.

Despite having superior products, companies often struggle in the market, a problem he attributed to a lack of robust sales team and supply chain management.

He asserted the necessity for all beverage companies to embrace diversity, equality, and inclusion.

The seminar also covered Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (HCCB)’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, showing how they provide improved education and health facilities to the most disadvantaged.

Sharma urged other companies to take similar actions, advocating for the welfare of all society’s stakeholders.

Sustainable development was his concluding message to the audience.

XLRI’s Krishna Kashyap and Oiendrila Mukherjee coordinated the event.
