Man Arrested in Seraikela with Illegal Weapons Amid Family Dispute

During a family dispute in Seraikela, police arrest a man found threatening others with a country-made weapon and live bullets.

SERAIKELA – Seraikela’s Kapali police arrested a man, Arun Mahato, who was armed with a country-made firearm, known locally as a ‘katta’, and two live bullets at Kamargoda Chowk, falling under the jurisdiction of the Kapali OP of Seraikela Kharsawan district.

During a press conference at Kapali OP, Chandil SDPO Sanjay Kumar Singh stated that a family dispute had erupted in Kamargoda, Kapali, during which the accused had threatened his family members with the loaded homemade firearm.

On receiving this information, Kapali OP in-charge Sandeep Kumar promptly deployed a team to the location.

Swift action was taken and the threatening man was arrested.

Upon searching the suspect, police discovered and seized the loaded firearm, a live cartridge in his pocket, and a mobile phone.

The arrested individual has been sent to court for further proceedings.
