Free Kanwar Yatra to Sultanganj Organized by Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh in Jamshedpur

Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh is organizing a free Kanwar Yatra from Mango to Sultanganj this July, open to devotees from Sonari and Kadma.

JAMSHEDPUR – Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh will once again be organizing a free Kanwar Yatra from Mango to Sultanganj in the auspicious month of Sawan, as announced by founder member Vikas Singh in a recent press conference.

Unlike previous years, where only devotees from Mango participated, this year’s Yatra, scheduled to commence on Sunday, July 16, will also include Kanwariyas from Sonari and Kadma.

Singh stated that they had received frequent requests from Sonari and Kadma Kanwariyas to join the Yatra in the past, but preparations fell short, causing these devotees to miss out.

However, preparations for this year’s Yatra began three months in advance to avoid such inconveniences.

Singh assured that all locations along the journey are already secured by the committee.

Registration for the Yatra will begin from July 1, operating on a first-come-first-serve basis, with preference given to those who have participated in the past Yatras organized by Baba Baidhnath Seva Sangh.

The event will exclude those below 18 and above 60 years.

The pilgrimage will be carried out via coach buses and buggies, with approximately 150 ‘Sevak Bam’ traveling to Sultanganj by train.

All registered Kanwariyas will receive an ID card and a dress code, the former serving as a pass for vehicle and Dharamshala entry.

To ensure the comfort of female Kanwariyas, a doctor and two nurses will accompany the group.
