Shiv Shakti Passenger Bus Crash on NH 33 Claims Two Lives, Injures Several Others

A passenger bus traveling from Nawada to Tata met with a fatal accident on National Highway 33, leading to two deaths and injuring about half a dozen people.

JAMSHEDPUR – A grave accident occurred on National Highway 33 near Shahrabeda under the Chandil police station of Kharsawan district early Friday morning when a Shiv Shakti passenger bus en route from Nawada to Tata crashed into a trailer, resulting in two fatalities and injuries to around six people.

Upon receiving the information, Chandil police swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the injured passengers to MGM Hospital for immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, a woman and a male passenger succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

Eyewitnesses have suggested that the bus driver might have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the bus to rear-end the trailer ahead.

This speculation, however, remains unconfirmed as investigations are ongoing.

The deceased have been identified as 85-year-old Jayrani Devi of Sasuwa Navada and 39-year-old Devendra Prasad Yadav of Ibrahimpura Gowasa Navada.

Among the injured are Madhu Verma, Munni Verma, Anmol Kumar, Harsh Kumar, Prateek Kumar, and Shivji.
