Excise Department Busts Mini Liquor Factory Near Jharkhand-Orissa Border

Excise Department’s team takes action in Kowali, Potka, busting a mini liquor factory. One youth arrested in connection with the illegal activity.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant action, the Excise Department of Jamshedpur busted a mini liquor factory in the Kwali police station area of Potka.

The factory, located in Banakta village near the Tiring of the Orissa-Jharkhand border, was found to be housing a large number of foreign liquor wrappers, empty bottles, and various brands of liquor.

The department’s team raided the premises after receiving a tip about the illegal activities being carried out there.

As a result of the raid, many items linked to the illicit production of liquor were recovered, providing substantial evidence of the unlawful operation.

Additionally, one youth was arrested in connection with the illegal liquor factory.

The suspect is currently being questioned, and more arrests may follow as the investigation proceeds.

The excise officials said that the mission to clamp down on illegal liquor production and distribution in the region would continue in the coming days..
