Imdad Khan, a history-sheeter criminal, was also an absconding accused in the Sabir murder case.
He had been hiding in a rented house in the Golmuri police station area of East Singhbhum district.
Following the imprisonment of Saddam in the Sabir murder case, A Parveen, who resided in Dhatkidih, Jamshedpur, began smuggling brown sugar with Mogla.

A team was formed to verify the information, and they arrested Khan, who was hiding in a rented house in Golmuri.
During interrogation, he confessed to selling brown sugar in Adityapur with Saddam Khan and later with his sister after Saddam’s imprisonment.
The police recovered brown sugar worth approximately four lakh rupees based on Khan’s confession.
