Auto Overturns in Storm, Leaving One Dead and Five Injured in Seraikela

Tragic auto accident in Seraikela leaves one child dead, five injured after vehicle overturns during a severe storm; police investigate incident.

Seraikela – A severe storm caused an auto to overturn on Saturday evening, resulting in the death of 10-year-old Anju Godsera and injuries to five others, including the driver in Seraikela.

All the injured are receiving treatment at Seraikela Sadar Hospital.

German Godsera was traveling with his family and a neighbor’s daughter, Nagi Gagarai, from Adityapur Vidyutnagar Nagar to Giddibasa of Chaibasa when the incident occurred on the Seraikela-Tata road, near Puadih under the Seraikela police station.

The auto, carrying Lakshmi Godsera (35), Sanjana Godsera (16), Anjana Godsera (12), Anju Godsera (10), and Nagi Gagarai (13), overturned, causing injuries to all occupants.

Anju Godsera tragically died at the scene, while the others were rushed to the hospital.

Anjana Godsera, who sustained serious injuries, has been referred to MGM Hospital for further treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Seraikela police arrived at the scene and took Anju Godsera’s body into custody for a postmortem examination.

An investigation into the case is ongoing.
