Jamshedpur: Anand Marg and Purnima Netralaya collaborated to provide free cataract operations to seven patients who were selected for operation in the 310th eye check-up camp.
The patients were also fitted with free lenses, medicines, and spectacles.
The successful collaboration has brought hope to many people suffering from cataract in Gadra.
On Thursday, the 311th weekly eye check-up camp was organized at Gadra Anand Marg Jagruti, and about 30 people got their eyes checked.
Four people were sent to Purnima Netralaya for cataract operation, and their operation is scheduled for tomorrow, April 14.
The operation will be free, and lenses will be fitted to the patients.
In addition to the free cataract operations, about 20 people received 50 free saplings during the event.
The initiative aims to promote environmental awareness and encourage people to plant more trees.
The Gadra community is looking forward to the 312th weekly checkup camp for free cataract operation, which will be held on April 20.
The successful collaboration between Anand Marg and Poornima Netralaya has been a ray of hope for people suffering from cataract in the region.
