Indian Red Cross Society Hosts Free Eye Care Camps in Jamshedpur

Tata Main Hospital Supports Ongoing Eye Health Initiatives

Weekly camps aim to eradicate blindness and promote rural health.

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum Chapter of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) is currently organizing free eye care camps and Rural Health Camps.

These initiatives are part of the central government’s efforts to eliminate blindness and improve rural health.

These efforts are carried out as part of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and have been greatly supported by Tata Main Hospital for the last 25 years.

Tata Main Hospital is proud to contribute to these initiatives by providing two eye specialists every week. These specialists are dedicated to conducting cataract operations and addressing any eye-related issues in the community.

The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), in partnership with Tata Main Hospital, has recently completed the planning of a schedule for a series of free eye care camps. These camps will be conducted from June 2024 to May 2025.

The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) has kindly requested Tata Main Hospital to continue supporting them by providing the services of two eye specialists for their weekly eye camps.

Every Sunday, eye care camps are organized at Ram Manohar Lohia Netralaya in Bagbera, Jamshedpur. These camps provide eye care services to villagers living in the surrounding areas of the city.

Our aim is to help people regain their vision, making a meaningful impact on the well-being of the community.

Collaborative efforts between the IRCS and Tata Main Hospital are really important in promoting health and wellness in the region.
