Attempt to disrupt communal peace in Kadma Shashtri Nagar foiled

Jamshedpur: A bid to disturb communal harmony in the Shastri Nagar area of Kadma was made on Saturday night as anti-social elements tried to provoke emotions by desecrating a Mahaviri flag.

This sparked anger and protests from people of Hindu organizations who staged a sit-in, leading to the potential for further disharmony.

However, wise people from both sides came forward to restore peace in the area, resulting in the situation being under control by late night.

The police played a crucial role in preventing the situation from escalating by some quick response.

Dy SP Animesh Gupta, Bistupur police station in-charge Anjani Kumar and Kadma police station in-charge Gaurav Kumar quickly responded to the incident, and QRT was also deployed.

The officers talked to the leaders of the organizations sitting on the dharna and discussed the matter with people from the other side.

Dy SP Gupta assured that the police would identify the anti-social elements through CCTV footage and take strict action against those responsible.

After being persuaded by the Dy SP, the leaders of the Hindu organizations called off the dharna.

Although the situation in Shastri Nagar was under control late at night, there was still unease in the area.

Efforts to disturb communal harmony are always a matter of concern, but the quick response of the police and the wise actions of sensible people from both sides ensured that the situation did not escalate.

The police officers underlined the need to have members and leaders of communities to work together to maintain communal harmony and prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
