ADITYAPUR – The anti-encroachment drive led by the Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) and district administration continued for the second consecutive day. Over 60 shops encroaching on roadside spaces were demolished, with no resistance from shopkeepers, who watched in silence as their establishments were dismantled.

Drive Progresses Swiftly

Starting near the JMM office at Chawal Mor, the campaign proceeded to clear various unauthorized constructions. Both temporary and permanent structures were removed systematically using bulldozers. JIADA official Anil Kumar confirmed that the drive is being conducted under orders from the Industries Secretary.

Campaign to Extend Until January 20

The anti-encroachment operation aims to reclaim public spaces and ensure the orderly use of land in the region. Officials have stated that the drive will continue until January 20 to address all encroachments.

Public Compliance Observed

Interestingly, no protests or resistance were reported during the demolition. Shopkeepers, aware of the legal directive, refrained from opposing the action. This has ensured smooth execution of the campaign, officials noted.
