SDM Gautam Kumar Leads Route Inspection Ahead of Grand Festival

JAMSHEDPUR – District officials ramped up efforts to ensure a peaceful and grand Rath Yatra.
Under SDM Gautam Kumar’s leadership, a high-level team inspected major locations linked to the procession. The main focus was removing obstacles, streamlining traffic, and ensuring public safety during the festival.
The team visited Andhra Bhakt Shri Ram Mandir in Bistupur, the starting point of the ISKCON Rath Yatra. The entire route from the temple to the JNAC office near Sakchi was thoroughly assessed.
Present during the inspection were DSP Traffic, Bistupur Police Station in-charge Umesh Thakur, and Hindu Trust Board member Jammu Bhaskar. Also attending were Durga Puja and Ram Navami Chairman Ashutosh Singh and temple head BD Gopal Krishna.
The procession will begin at 3 PM and move through Bistupur Main Road, JUSCO office, and Keenan Stadium, ending near the JNAC office.
Meanwhile, Bhaskar praised the district administration’s swift action and planning. He stated, “Every devotee’s safety and peaceful celebration are being ensured through dedicated efforts.”
In addition, ISKCON leaders, led by Shekhar Parvat, are finalizing arrangements for the chariot.
Moreover, safety measures are being prioritized. Hanging wires are being raised and roadside trees trimmed. Police deployment at intersections and traffic diversions have been planned.
Local sources revealed that over 100 personnel, including volunteers, will assist during the event. Jamshedpur’s Rath Yatra attracts thousands yearly, making coordination vital.
The administration also plans to install surveillance cameras and deploy quick response teams to maintain order.
