Festival to be held at Buddhist Temple Ground near Rajendra Vidyalaya in Sakchi
Jamshedpur: The Mithila Sankskritik Parishad in Jamshedpur has organized a two-day festival Vidyapati Smriti Parv Samaroh on April 8 and 9, 2023 to commemorate the cultural and religious legacy of Mithila and the people rooted in Maithili culture.
The festival will be held at Buddhist Temple Ground, (Near Rajendra Vidyalaya) Sakchi.
The president, general secretary, treasurer, spokesperson, and joint secretary of the Parishad jointly announced the programme of the festival in a press conference.
The festival will have several dignitaries as guests of honor, including the former MP of Jamshedpur Dr. Ajoy Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Excise, Arun Kumar Jha, Regional Managing Director JIADA Premaranjan, Managing Director of Auto Cluster in Adityapur Suresh Narayan Thakur, Social Worker Shiv Shankar Singh, Chief Engineer of Water Resources department Ashok Kumar Das, Former District President of Congress Ravindra Jha, Congress members Anand Bihari Dubey and Dharmendra Sonkar, and Social Workers Rita Mishra and Ram Sakhi Devi.
On April 9, the festival will be inaugurated by the Health Minister of the Government of Jharkhand, Banna Gupta, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, the former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, and President of JUSCO Union Raghunath Pandey.

There will also be a cultural evening featuring several artists such as Vikas Jha, Anamika Jha, Arvind Singh, Kanchan Pandey, and local artists Pankaj Kumar Jha and Shankar Nath Jha. Other artists will perform melodious songs, folk songs, and charming dance presentations. Visitors can also enjoy delicious Mithila dishes and Anand Mela during the festival.
Bus arrangements will be available to transport visitors from all areas.
