Youth nabbed on suspicion of child-lifting attempt in Birsanagar

Jamshedpur: In an alarming incident that occurred under the Birsa Nagar police station of Jamshedpur, a young man was caught by locals on the suspicion of making an alleged attempt of child-lifting.

After a severe beating, the enraged crowd tied him to a pole for several hours.

Upon receiving the information, the police reached the location, and the young man was taken into custody and brought to the police station.

The locals alleged that the young man had come to abduct a child.

While the police are investigating the matter, the in-charge of Birsa Nagar police station said that this is a family dispute matter.

He said that after the woman’s husband passed away, the children had gone to live in another place, and the woman had come to meet the child with a young man.

However, the family and the locals caught the young man on the suspicion of attempting to abduct a child.

The police are interrogating both the mother of the child and the young man at the police station.

The police have urged people to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and inform the police in such cases.
