National Para Badminton Championship 2024 kicks off in Jamshedpur

Mohan Ahuja Stadium in Jamshedpur is set to host the 6th National Para Badminton Championship from March 19-23, showcasing top athletes’ talent and determination.

JAMSHEDPUR – The newly renovated Mohan Ahuja Stadium will be the battleground for the 6th National Para Badminton Championship 2023-2024, starting March 19.

Chanakya Chaudhary of Tata Steel has recently inaugurated the upgraded facility.

The stadium now boasts a modernized setup, integrating it with the JRD Tata Badminton training center.

Enhancements include an added viewing gallery and state-of-the-art 700 lux sports arena lighting.

The renovation emphasized refurbishing three badminton courts with new wooden flooring.

This overhaul aligns with the Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) standards.

Singles, Doubles, and Mixed Doubles events will feature fierce competition.

Participants include Paralympians and world-renowned medalists.

More than 370 athletes from over 20 states are set to compete.

The event’s mascot, Arohan, symbolizes the resilience and progress of para-athletes.
