Businessman from Ranchi staying at Sakchi hotel dies, investigations on

Jamshedpur: Ashwini Jaiswal, a successful businessman from Ranchi, was found dead at Hotel Devdoot in the jurisdiction of Sakchi Police Station on Thursday.

For 11 days, the deceased Ashwini Jaiswal resided at the hotel with a woman who identified herself as his wife.

The woman’s identity hasn’t yet been made public.

Police sources said that the death came to light after the girl began to shout for help on Thursday about 9.30 am and the hotel employees hurried to their room.

When they saw Jaiswal unresponsive, they rushed him right away to Tata Main Hospital (TMH). Nevertheless, the doctors pronounced him dead.

The girl claimed that they were married for two months.She claimed she was unaware of the reasons for Jaiswal’s death. Jaiswal’s health, she added, had deteriorated.

She said that the previous night, Jaiswal’s condition had gotten worse, and she had phoned the Adityapur police station for assistance. But, they told her to go to the Sakchi police station instead because they were under the jurisdiction of Sakchi police.

However, when his condition further worsened at around 9.30 a.m. on Thursday, she started shouting for help.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, however it is thought that Ashwini may have had a heart attack.

The police have launched an investigation into the event and are awaiting the arrival of Jaiswal’s family members in order to learn more about what happened.

Jaiswal was a prosperous trader who lived in Lalpur, near the Hazaribagh Road Devi Temple in Ranchi.

The girl who was with him is also being questioned. Investigations are still on.
