SSP’s friendly advice: We don’t want you to spend your festival behind bars

Jamshedpur: The SSP of Jamshedpur Prabhat Kumar has a friendly advice for all the citizens of the steel city before Holi and Shab-e-barat: Do not spend your festival behind bars or in jail.

Even while the police force staged a flag march in the entire township, the SSP Prabhat Kumar issued a video appeal to the citizens of Jamshedur.

In his video message, the SSP Prabhat Kumar greeted the citizens ahead of Holi and shab-e-barat festivals and appealed to the citizens to avoid rumour-mongering on social media.

He said that no misleading posts on social media should be believed and such posts should not be forwarded or discussed in any manner and the nearest police station should be informed about this immediately.

He appealed to the citizens to not circulate any social media post without verifying all details.

He also appealed to citizens to not put colors on anyone who is not willingly participating in playing Holi.

He said that no one should indulge in wanton behavior on roads as the police will maintain a strict vigil against troublemakers.

He said that about 3000 police personnel and magistrates have been deployed in different parts of the city. He also added that he would not want anyone to spend his holi festival behind the bars or in jail just because he made some mischief.

He advised everyone to celebrate the festivals in a peaceful and lawful manner.
