Students Participate in Competitions, Pantomime Performance on Road Safety

JAMSHEDPUR – DAV Public School in Bistupur organized a Road Safety Awareness Week program featuring competitions, performances, and addresses by traffic officials on January 21, 2026.

The Safe Club of DAV Public School conducted the event. It followed Ministry of Road Transport guidelines. The program aimed to educate students about road safety measures.

Several dignitaries attended the awareness campaign. Dhananjay served as the District Transport Officer (DTO) of Jamshedpur. Niraj Kumar worked as Traffic Deputy Superintendent of Police. Moreover, Prakash Kr. Giri attended as Road Safety Manager.

Additionally, Ishwar Lal Sahu represented the Motor Vehicles Inspector office. The school organized two competitions for different class groups. Classes IV and V participated in Slogan Writing Competition. On the other hand, classes VI and VII joined Mask Making Competition.

Students performed a pantomime highlighting road safety importance. The District Administration’s Nukkad Natak team delivered a message. However, their performance made the event more impactful.

Dhananjay stressed the need for road discipline during his address. He cited alarming accident statistics caused by reckless driving. Furthermore, he urged everyone to follow traffic rules consistently. He also emphasized making safety a regular habit.

Mrs. Pragya Singh serves as Principal of DAV Public School. She also holds the position of ARO Jharkhand Zone-E. She praised government initiatives on road safety awareness programs. Besides, she urged students to follow traffic laws carefully.

The program concluded with a Road Safety Pledge ceremony. Teachers took the pledge along with students and staff. The event promoted road safety awareness among the public.
