S Jaishankar slams George Soros comments on India

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar slammed US billionaire George Soros for criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In response to Soros’ comments, Jaishankar called him ‘old, rich, opinionated and dangerous’ and said, ‘Such a man thinks, what he thinks is right. The whole world will continue with that thought.’

S Jaishankar said, ‘Such people sitting in New York think that the world will run according to their wishes. That is why they spend a lot of money. They think that if the candidates they like win, the election is good. And if not, that country’s democracy is bad. The interesting thing is that they want to convey that these things are being done for the benefit of the society. In reality it is hypocrisy.’

Jaishankar said, ‘Such talk makes us anxious. Because we know what colonialism is. We have been through that experience. We know what the danger is when the outside power swallows the nose.’

92-year-old George Soros recently criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the controversy surrounding the Adani group at an international conference in Munich, Germany.

He said that Modi’s influence on the Indian government will be reduced as a result of the scandal.

Allegations of fraud and manipulation in the stock market against Adani Industrial Group, Modi will have to answer to Parliament and investors. There will be a renaissance of democracy in India, Soros said.
