Corona test now mandatory for tourists visiting Taj Mahal

The coronavirus detection test has been made mandatory for tourists visiting Taj Mahal.

This decision has been taken in view of the recent increase in the number of coronavirus infections in China and other countries. Agra District Health Officer Anil Satsangi confirmed this information.

He said, ‘The health department has already started testing to prevent the spread of infection. Coronavirus detection test has been made mandatory for all visitors as India is on alert.’

According to the news reports, a large number of local and foreign tourists are coming to the Taj Mahal every day.

The health department of Agra is testing the samples of visiting tourists.

Meanwhile, health workers at Agra’s bus stands, railway stations, airports are checking whether they have been tested for coronavirus.

Dr. Chief Medical Officer of Agra. AK Srivastava said, Agra’s Taj Mahal is the most popular tourist destination in the country. A lot of foreign visitors come here every day.

He said, ‘Such a decision has been taken in view of the massive increase in the spread of Covid-19 in China. China is our neighboring country. We have taken this decision because the corona infection has increased there recently.’

When asked how precautions have been taken, he said, samples of around 500-1000 people are being tested every day from different places. Apart from this, Covid-19 tests are also being conducted at the district hospital’s testing center. The number of sample tests will be increased if necessary.
