Excellent sports infrastructure is being developed in Jharkhand: Sports Director

Ranchi: Mrs. Sarojni Lakda, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, on Monday reviewed the under-construction sports facilities in Bokaro on the orders of Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren.

During her inspection, she sought thorough information on Chandankiyari’s residential athletics training facility and day boarding archery training center, including lodging, meal arrangements, sports equipment, and grounds.

She also passed some strict remarks to the officials and issued orders for improvement after observing technical problems in the athletics synthetic track and football pitch under development at Chandankiyari.

During all this, she also met the archery players and coaches, listened to their concerns, and told them that kits and sporting equipment will be sent to them shortly.

According to Mrs. Sarojni Lakda, the department is committed to fostering sports and athletes. She said that rapid work is underway to develop sporting infrastructure in the state.
