Tatanagar to Ayodhya: Special Train for Pilgrims Announced

The Railways and IRCTC launch a special Aastha train service from Tatanagar to Darshan Nagar, facilitating pilgrimages to the new Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a move that brings cheer to devotees, the Railways and IRCTC have introduced a special Aastha train service to Ayodhya.

This service, aimed at facilitating pilgrimages to the recently constructed Lord Ram temple, will operate between Tatanagar and UP Darshan Nagar station.

The Tata-Darshan Nagar Express will depart from Tatanagar on January 29th and February 19th, marking a significant step for religious tourism in the region.

Return trips from Darshan Nagar to Tatanagar are scheduled for January 31st and February 21st.

Equipped with 22 coaches, the train will traverse various stops en route, including Chandil, Purulia, and Bokaro Steel City.

Departing at 11:50 am from Tatanagar, the train will reach Darshan Nagar the next day at 3:20 am.

The return journey commences at 8 am from Darshan Nagar, arriving back in Tatanagar at 11 pm.

Key stops during the journey include Koderma, Gaya, Sasaram, and Varanasi.

The special train, primarily comprising sleeper class coaches, will cover the 758 km distance in around 16 hours.

Stops at Chakradharpur, Gomoh, and Mughalsarai are part of the train’s itinerary.

IRCTC has ensured amenities like water supply at certain stations and offers food and beverages on demand to ensure a comfortable journey for the pilgrims.
