Passenger amenities to be enhanced at Tatanagar: Senior DCM

Jamshedpur: Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) of Chakradharpur Rail Division Manish Pathak paid an inspection visit to Tatanagar Railway station. He inspected platform no. 1, VIP lounge and the second entry gate of the station.

Taking note of the delayed completion of work at the waiting lounge, Pathak said a notice would be issued to the contractor concerned.

The Senior DCM directed the local Railway officials to submit a report on the development of the second entry gate. He inspected the first and second entry gates prior to issuing the instructions. He said a master plan was in place to make the second entry gate more beautiful.

“Efforts are on to provide more amenities to passengers at the second entry gate and renovate it,” said Pathak.

The work of the lobby at Tatanagar station would be completed on the lines of Jharsuguda and Bondamunda stations, Pathak said.

Pathak said the waiting lounge tender was finalized at Rs 80 lakh. He said a grand programme would be organized by the Railways on 15th September. As many as 24 MPs from across the country would participate in this event at Tatanagar station, he added.
