Tata Steel Sports Department kicks off Summer Camp 2022 at JRD Tata Sports Complex

2000 children have registered for the various sporting activities across 20 disciplines.

Jamshedpur: The much-awaited Sports Summer Camp kicked off today at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by around 500 children, coaches and senior officials of the Tata Steel Sports Department.

During the inaugural ceremony, Mrs. Rupi Paul graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

She applauded the role of the Sports Department in organising the Sports Camp and giving children the opportunity to participate in multiple sporting activities. She also spoke about how the camp aims at the holistic development of children and youth, and boosted the morale of the participants with her motivating words.

Approximately 2000 children have registered for the various sporting activities across 20 disciplines such as Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Football, Golf, Handball, Horse Riding, Karate, Kabaddi, Roller Skate/Roll Ball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Yoga and Zumba.

Experienced coaches from Sports Authority of India (SAI), international athletes and former Ranji players will impart training to the participants during the 17-day camp.
