Corona continues to cause deaths in city, Mango resident succumbs to virus

Jamshedpur: Corona continues to cause deaths in the city. Another death has been reported in Jamshedpur due to Covid-19 complications.

According to official sources, a 57-year-old resident of Mango Dimna Road has succumbed to covid-19. He was being treated at TMH.

With this, the total number of people who have died to corona-related complications has now gone up to 1057.

The number of new cases have come down drastically in the city during the last few weeks.

Despite this, the city is still suffering a couple of deaths every week.

On Friday, Covid-19 tests were done on 7,127 persons and out of these 3 were found to be positive for corona.

Two of the new positive cases were from Mango, while one person lives in Musaboni.

This has taken the cumulative number of cases in the city to 51,774.

On Friday itself, two persons were also cured and discharged.

At present, 22 covid-19 patients are being in the district in the two hospitals. The positivity rate for the city has come down to 0.04 pc.
