Jharkhand Govt contribution to employee NPS increased from 10% to 14%

New rules for jobs on compassion basis, Online electronic filing in state courts

Ranchi. The Jharkhand cabinet in its meeting today has decided to increase the amount of government contribution under the NPS National Pension Scheme of government employees from 10 percent to 14 percent.

This decision will be effective from the date of July 1, 2021 and will increase the burden of about Rs 342 crore on the state exchequer.

Due to this, the amount and benefits received by the employees after retirement will increase significantly.

Giving details about the decisions taken in the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said that a plan has been approved for beautification of Sarna-Masna-Hadgari sites, religious and holy places of tribal community across the state.

Under this, schemes up to a maximum of Rs 5 crores can be planned. The work of such schemes up to 25 lakhs will be done through beneficiary committees.

If the cost of any scheme will be more than 25 lakhs, then tender will be invited for it.

In all, 8 proposals were approved in the meeting held in the cabinet meeting today.

  • New rules have been approved for jobs on compassion basis for the dependents of government employees who died in service. Under this, the qualification in Hindi typing has been relaxed in the educational qualification requirement for the applicant. After getting the job, one has to acquire the prescribed ability of typing.
  • Forest area officer Anil Kumar Singh has been given compulsory retirement. There were serious allegations of irregularity and indiscipline against him. Anil Singh is currently posted in Pakur.
  • Under the Jharkhand State Crop Relief Scheme, a corpus fund of 25 crores has been approved. In case of crop loss to the farmers, help will be provided from the interest coming from this fund.
  • An amount of 85. 70 crores has been approved for CM Matsya Sampada Yojana.
  • The cabinet has also approved the proposal to make Manoj Prasad the chairman of the Commercial Tax Tribunal. Mr. Prasad is currently posted as District and Sessions Judge in East Singhbhum.
  • The prepared proposal for online electronic filing in the courts of Jharkhand will be sent for the approval of the Governor.
