Corona claims 1 life in Jharkhand on Saturday, total deaths now 1,081

Ranchi: After relenting for two days, Coronavirus has once again claimed 1 more life on Saturday in Jharkhand. The lone death today was reported from Dhanbad district. The total number of deaths due to pandemic for Dhanbad district has reached 115, while the for the entire state of Jharkhand, it has reached 1,082.

According to official data, Jharkhand has tested a total of 53,44,419 samples till Saturday. Out of these, 1,19,283 samples have tested positive. Even out of these, 1,17,749 have already been cured and discharged.

On Saturday, 41 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported from different districts of the state, while 29 patients were cured and discharged.

For now, the state has only 452 active cases of coronavirus.

As per official data, the recovery rate for Jharkhand has now reached 98.71%, while the mortality rate is hovering around 0.90%.
