3 lives lost to coronavirus in Jharkhand on Thursday, total deaths 1,069
Ranchi: The ferocity of coronavirus pandemic has certainly decreased in Jharkhand. However, deaths are still occurring in trickles and precious lives are being lost. On Thursday, 3 lives were lost to the virus, while 62 new cases were detected across the state. The total death toll due to coronavirus has now reached 1,069.
According to official data, the state has tested 51,85,675 samples till Thursday. Out of these samples, 1,18,557 have tested positive while 1,16,816 patients have already been cured and discharged.
The state still has 670 active cases of coronavirus infections.
On Thursday too, 62 new cases were detected across the state. On the other hand, 112 patients were also cured and discharged, while 3 death was reported from the state, 2 from Ranchi and 1 from Dhanbad.
The recovery rate in the state has now reached 98.53%. The mortality rate is still at 0.90%.
East Singhbhum still remains the most affected district in the state. However, for the last 50 days, only 1 death has been reported in East Singhbhum district and the condition has vastly improved from what it was a couple of months back.
