Thieves break into Jugsalai apartment, escape with valuables worth Rs. 3 lakh

Jamshedpur: Thieves are having a field day in the city these days. Thursday evening, unidentified thieves broke into an apartment at Shruti Chowk in Jugsalai and escaped with jewellery and cash worth Rs. 3 lakh. An FIR was registered by Jugsalai police late Thursday night. Investigations have begun.

According to police sources, businessman Anshuman Sah, his wife and son live in Prem Apartment. On Thursday evening they had locked their apartment and had gone to visit their paternal house. Meanwhile, thieves broke the locks of the flat and also broke open the almirahs and made good with Rs. 3 lakh worth of jewellery and around Rs. 35 thousand in cash.

Later, when the family reached their apartment, they found that thieves had escaped with their valuables in cash.

The victim Anshuman Sah said that the thieves targeted their house because it was locked.

He said that the neighbours had seen a youth arriving in the flat in the name of repairing cable connection. Police are investigating the case.
