Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Suraj Kumar paid tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, which is also celebrated as Youth Day in the country. A small function was organised at the District Headquarters to pay respects to the sage on his birth anniversary. January 12 is also observed as Yuva Diwas (Youth Day) in the country.
The DC appealed to everyone to follow the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. He said that Swami had advised the youth to dream big and work hard to make dreams come true.
He said that it is important for the youths of the country to follow his path as only hard work can take them to success.
He also appealed to all residents of the district to ensure that East Singhbhum fares well on all fronts of development.
The DC was accompanied by other top officers of the district administration too. All the officers paid rich tributes to Swami Vivekananda.
