Jamshedpur: No coronavirus death was reported on Saturday in East Singhbhum district. It was the 25th straight day when zero corona-caused death was reported from Jamshedpur. The total death toll for the district remained at 374 at the end of the day.
According to official data, however, 20 new coronavirus infection cases were detected in the district, taking the total number of infections to 17,648.
On the other hand, 22 patients were also cured and discharged. With this, the total number of recoveries have reached 17,048.
For now, the city has only 226 active cases of coronavirus infection.
The district has tested 4,67,777 samples till date. Out of these, 17,648 have tested positive, while 4,50,129 have tested negative.
For now, the recovery rate for the district is at 97%, mortality rate has come down to 2.1%, while the positivity rate too has come down to 3.8%.
