Inclusive Hiring Drive Targets Transgender Community at Tata Steel

Tata Steel sets a new standard in inclusivity, inviting applications from transgender individuals for various roles, with the application deadline on February 15, 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – The application window for transgender individuals seeking employment at Tata Steel and its subsidiaries is closing soon, with the deadline set for February 15, 2024.

Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official Tata Steel HR portal.

The hiring initiative is open to transgender applicants with a wide range of educational qualifications.

These qualifications include a high school diploma in English, ITI certification (with preference given to candidates holding both AITT and ITI certificates), a bachelor’s degree in any field, a diploma in engineering across any discipline recognized by the AICTE or UGC, and B.E./B.Tech degrees in any discipline from institutions recognized by the AICTE or UGC.

Tata Steel is committed to a thorough selection process for all shortlisted candidates, which may encompass both written examinations and interviews, depending on the position applied for.

This move by Tata Steel not only broadens the horizons for transgender professionals but also marks a significant step towards workplace diversity and inclusion across multiple locations and subsidiaries of the company.
