District Admn team inspects ultrasound centres in Sakchi

Jamshedpur: A district administration team has been formed to check all the ultrasound centres of the city on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum Suraj Kumar.

The special team started inspection of several ultrasound centres in Sakchi in the presence of the Executive Magistrate.

It is not known yet whether any anomalies were found during the inspection or not.

As soon as the inspection team arrived at the different diagnostic centres, there was a commotion caused.

It may be added here that the district administration had earlier issued clear instructions to the ultrasound centres to get their licences renewed as per the new guidelines issued by the government for ensuring that the ultrasound centres are run as per the new rules.

However, several ultrasound centres continued to run their ultrasound machines based not he old guidelines and old licences.

Several ultrasound centres have been preparing reports based on old machines.

On the other hand, the district administration has also received complaints about pre-natal sex determination, although this has not been confirmed yet.
