No coronavirus death in Jharkhand, total deaths remain at 1,016

Ranchi: Coronavirus did not claim any life on Friday in Jharkhand. The total death toll due to the virus in the state remained at 1,016 till late night on Friday.

According to official data, 168 new cases were detected in the state, while 176 patients were cured and discharged in different districts of the state.

Till Friday, a total of 47,09,623 samples have been tested in the state. Out of these, 1,13,954 samples have turned out to be positive, while 1,11,351 patients have already been cured and discharged.

For now, the state has only 1,587 active cases of coronavirus infection.

The recovery rate in the state has climbed up to 97.71%, which is pretty close to 98%, while the mortality rate remains low at 0.89%.

East Singhbhum remains the worst-affected district of the state. However, for the last 16 days, East Singhbhum has not reported any coronavirus-caused death.
