Corona claims 1 more life on Friday, total deaths 978

Ranchi: Coronavirus claimed 1 more life in Jharkhand on Friday. The pandemic had claimed 6 lives on Thursday. However, on Friday, its fury waned a little as only one life was lost to the pandemic. The total death toll for the state has now reached 978.

According to official data, on Friday, 219 new cases of coronavirus infection were also detected taking the total number of infections in the state to 1,09,990. On the other hand, 206 patients were also cured and discharged. The total recoveries in the state have now reached 1,07,074.

Till date, the state has tested 42,92,594 samples. Out of these, 1,09,990 samples have tested positive.

For now, the state has 1,938 active cases of coronavirus infections.

The recovery rate for the state till Friday is 97.34%, while the mortality rate remains static at 0.88%.

East Singhbhum remains the worst-affected district of the state in terms of deaths as well as mortality rate.
